We are proud to announce that Emerald has been awarded a certificate from the respected Climate Neutral Group in recognition of our work to compensate our organizational footprint in 2022.Emerald not only wants to make the world a happier and more colorful place, but to do so in a sustainable way. By working closely with Climate Neutral Group we are better able to achieve this, as we gain an expert understanding about our carbon footprint and how we can offset our company’s emissions.
We offset our company’s impact over 2022 by supporting two carbon offset projects:
• 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This project involves planting trees in the Far East to establish a new forest. Forests represent one of the most effective ways to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, in addition to helping to decrease the effects of erosion and enhancing biodiversity.
• 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: This project involves protecting existing forests. Forest conservation projects help to protect biodiversity, protect water resources, and create a better environment for local communities.
We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and making a positive contribution to the fight against climate change. Compensating our company’s emissions in this way is an important milestone in our journey to becoming a sustainable business.
